The amazing race is one of the most exciting games in group dynamics. We got so curious what would be the activity because we were requested to use our PE uniforms.
I became part of the fourth group which was the green team. The team which was last called. But even before the start, we believed that even we are called last, we would never be the least on performing the said activity.
The professor instructed what to do. We were the first group who first started. We ran, ran and ran. We had fun. Our
sweat glands were so functional that moment. As we got back to let our collections be gathered and checked, we were the group who accomplished it first among all groups. Right after the checking, the second task was given. We first answered the questions we know before we go to our separate assignments.
Others went to the 8th floor while Yna and I went to give back the experimental book we had borrowed. We did everything we could. We worked as a group. There was no so dominant leader on the group. Everyone had their own diskarte, everyone led each other. I guess, that was the reason why we won.
I felt so blessed being part of the group. Everyone’s initiative was the biggest factors for the glory we got.
After the task, our group was invited to have pictures. They captured us with our tired yet happy faces. Sakto, I brought my not-so-hightech
cam. We continued taking pictures until the whole block smiled for the camera. That was the first time we had pictures together, as in all of us. I am happy for that. I saw the happiness felt by all.
Ever wonder of the story behind the title of the essay? It’s because after the pictorial we went to the Guidance Office. While resting, Ely, the meanest guy whispered, “ay basa”. I came to realize that my armpits are sort of wet. I reasoned out, “according to Sir Mike, okay lang daw na basa, basta wag mabaho!”. We laughed but he added “edi ate, baskil ka”. Baskil, anu yun?, I asked. “Edi basang- kili-kili.
